Greetings from the nebulous future!

Actually, there are enough of you out there on this half of the globe that you're probably just a *few* hours behind me.

For those of you on the *other* side of the International Date Line, greetings from Japan! Yes, we actually finally made it...and as a "bonus" of sorts, I even got to stay behind while the ship went out and did circles around the Western Pacific for a couple of months. (I say "bonus" because my extended stay involved a rather unpleasant couple of days at the base hospital for surgery, but all in all I'd say it was [sorta] worth it.)

I'm planning to get back to my on-again, off-again hobby of photography mixed up with a bit of videography, and with the Tokyo Game Show coming up this weekend, I couldn't have picked a better time to get back into the mix. Hopefully, you can look forward to a bunch of poorly-planned, blurry crowd shots in the coming weeks, and hopefully some actually decent nature photos thrown into the mix (assuming I can convince my leash-holders to let me get away for a full weekend to explore...).

That's all for now!

Great gallery dude!

Are you in the US Navy?

Oh, and I've got more on my Flickr page (I rarely post to DA anymore) - [link]

Thanks. Great shots!

Yes indeed! 10 years and change, though I'm transitioning out in February. It's been a long, challenging tour, but I'm definitely the better for it.

Glad you had an exciting career, man! It's a time that you will never forget. Cherish it, man. Because, just like high school, once it's gone, it's gone.

When you transition out, you might want to pick up a US Navy hat from Military.com.

Take it easy, dude.
